Week 1 - Foundations and First Song - Feb 9

Theory (30 min):

• Treble & bass clef (1 octave), basic rhythms (quarter, eighth, half, whole)

• Intro to Nashville Number System

• How to mark a chart (repeat signs, intros, turns, etc.)

Band Lab (30 min):

• Lead sheets for Song #1 (Goodness of God in G)

• Team learns the chord progression together with in-ears and a click

• Homework: Memorize Song #1 chords and be able to play along with the recording
